2.6. Engine oil and filter replacement

THE GENERAL DATA

Engine oil replacement is necessary for making through each 10 000 km of run of the car with petrol engines and through 7500 km with diesel engines. In case of insignificant operation of the car to make replacement of oil is not more rare than 1 time a year with replacement of a filtering element.

Frequent replacement of engine oil and filter replacement – the most important part of service. At old engine oil there are dissolved particles and pollution that leads to premature deterioration of the engine.

Before oil replacement it is necessary to warm up the engine to working temperature as it considerably raises fluidity of oil and promotes full removal of old oil from the engine. At oil plum to be careful, as following oil has a heat.
