13.4.9. Removal and installation of overlays of a bumper

MODELS TO THE MIDDLE OF 1990 (ALL MODELS, EXCEPT GHIA)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To remove a bumper. 2. To separate an old overlay from a bumper. 3. To clean the rests of glue from a flute for an overlay in a bumper. To wash out a flute methyl spirit and to dry it. 4. A thin and uniform layer to put in a flute a glutinous ground and to allow to it to dry up. The ground is delivered together with a new overlay. 5. Slightly to warm up a new overlay. Not to turn off an overlay in rings in diameter it is less 300 mm. 6. To remove from an overlay a protective film. To insert overlay edge into a groove on one of the ends of a flute for an overlay in a bumper on depth of 10 mm. To press an overlay into a flute, moving along a bumper, and other end to insert into a groove on other end of a bumper. The prevention Not to cut off an overlay, as their end faces загерметизированы from moisture penetration. 7. To establish a bumper.

MODELS GHIA AND ALL MODELS FROM THE MIDDLE OF 1990

Differences at removal and installation of overlays consist in the following:

  – Except glue the overlay fastens nuts on hairpins;
  – The sticky tape for overlay gluing is delivered separately from an overlay.
